Paperboy offered £6.93 redundancy
A 13-year-old paperboy in Bedfordshire who earns £6.53 a week could have been one of the youngest people in the UK to be offered a redundancy package.
Kane Middleton received a formal letter which told him he was being laid off from his round in Clophill.
It outlined a redundancy package of "one week's pay in lieu of notice, which equates to £6.93 (subject to tax and NI)".
His employer, Letterbox Direct, was unavailable for comment.
Kane said he began his round two months ago to buy treats and a new cage for his hamster, Splodge.
Speaking about receiving the letter, he said: "I got this piece of paper and I didn't really understand all the words.
"I asked my mum and she told me I had been made redundant.
"I felt annoyed and upset."
His mother Jocelyn said she was disappointed that her son had received an "impersonal" letter-Kane said he was annoyed and upset by the letter
(my view)-company workers and other workers get thousands of pounds as their redundancy check ect........BUT doing this is to a kid is disgustingly cruel
Brown 'not the man to save UK' - poll
A poll of 10,000 MSN readers found that just 17% back Gordon Brown to rescue our economy. But is this a victory for David Cameron or an indictment of Labour?
Fewer than one in five Brits are confident Gordon Brown can lead the nation back to economic security, it has been revealed.
A poll of more than 10,000 MSN readers found that just 17% back Brown, while a significant 51% feel the prime minister has made too many mistakes already and that new leadership is a must.
There also appears to be a strong sense of pessimism among those polled, with almost a third (32%) saying it does not matter who is in charge of the country as we are going to struggle regardless.
Pro-Tory, or simply anti-Labour?
While some might see the high number of people calling for a change in leadership as a sign of growing support for opposition leader David Cameron.
However, it seems this may just be a case of pollsters adopting an "anyone-but-Labour" stance.
Earlier this month, another survey found that almost half (47%) of people who planned to vote for or were leaning towards the Conservatives said it was "mainly a vote against the record of Labour".
A further 17% agreed they were "mainly" voting against Gordon Brown, with just over a third actually putting their choice down to a positive endorsement of the opposition.
Recent weeks have not helped
Regardless of the reasons behind it, there remains little doubt that Brown is under pressure to curry favour with voters.
However, those efforts have not been helped, due to a combination of unpopular decisions and events out of his control.
Brown's announcement that he will sell up to £16 billion of the nation's assets to try bring spiralling public debt under control has not been well received, with some seeing it as a knee-jerk reaction that fails to address the key issue of the government's chronic overspending.A further blow to Brown's popularity came on Friday, when the UK surprisingly failed to rise out of recession.
While obviously not directly Brown's fault, the prime minister now has the misfortune of leading the nation through its longest recession since records began

-Despite his age, Otto still enjoys playing ball with neighbours' children-
A dog from Shropshire has been crowned the world's oldest canine, which his owners have put down to a "wholesome diet of Sunday dinners and vegetables".
Otto Jones, a Dachshund terrier cross from Reabrook, Shrewsbury, is 20 years and eight months old.
He has been recognised as the oldest living dog by Guinness World Records and despite his age still enjoys playing ball with neighbours' children.
His owners Lynn and Peter Jones said he was a "loveable, affectionate rogue".
The couple have had him since he was a puppy.
TV appearance
He is a bit deaf, but apart from a few grey whiskers and a touch of arthritis they said he was fit and healthy.
"The only thing I can put it down to is plenty of good wholesome food. He loves his Sunday dinners and his vegetables," Mrs Jones said.
His owners said the children in his street regularly call for him to play.
"Nothing seems to faze him," Mrs Jones added.
Otto, who is a single bachelor, is due to be feature on the Paul O'Grady Show on Channel 4 next month and has also been invited to open a dog show.

Gately 'scaled wall for Jacko'
WARNING:READING THIS ARTICLE MIGHT YOU SICK,LIKE ME..I AM DISGUSTED!--
Westlife's Nicky Byrne has revealed Stephen Gately once scaled a wall to meet Michael Jackson after seeing the King Of Pop perform in Dublin.
Speaking at the London premiere of Jackson movie This Is It, Nicky said the late Boyzone singer was a huge Jackson fan and said he would have loved to attend the event.
Nicky said: "Stephen I do know, through Louis (Walsh) and through Ronan (Keating), was a massive Michael Jackson fan - massive."
He added: "I remember a story that when Jackson played the RDS in Dublin 10, maybe 15 years ago, Louis jumped over a wall with Stephen and bribed security and actually got up to meet Michael Jackson and got a photograph with him.
"And there is a photograph somewhere, I've seen it, with Stephen and Michael together, and that was Louis' kinda little concoction to get Stephen to meet him, because Stephen had been begging to meet him for years.
"So yeah, I think he would have been here tonight. He would have been first in the queue."
Nicky revealed: "The reason we're here tonight is we were all supposed to go to the show when he was going to perform in London. It's amazing the after-footage. We're looking forward to seeing it tonight.
"But Jackson was an inspiration to everybody, anybody who can appreciate music."
(my view)-Why is it gays make the worst wako stalkers who make the worst stories?,
couldn't gately get it?.......Michael fucked boys under 12 NOT grown men......well"Fairies"anyway

Police told to mind their language
The "Evenin' all" greeting made famous by TV character Dixon of Dock Green could be consigned to the history books by official guidance that advises police officers to take care when referring to the time of day, it has been reported.
According to one police force, "evening" is a "subjective" term that can vary depending on a person's culture or nationality.
Other words that officers are urged to take care when using include "child" and "homosexual", the Sunday Telegraph reported.

Call For Migrant Fund
authorities have told a House of Lords select committee that £250m should be set aside to support areas under pressure from immigration.
The Local Government Association (LGA), representing 400 councils in England and Wales, said a contingency fund would help shore up public services.
The LGA also called for a change to the system used to measure migration.
Leaders from Westminster, Slough and Boston councils gave evidence at the immigration inquiry.
'Real grasp'
Sir Simon Milton, chairman of the LGA, said he told the committee that while the country benefited from migration, the benefits were being felt nationally and the costs felt locally.
There needed to be a significant improvement in how the numbers coming in were counted, he said.
"We need to ensure those councils that are getting big increases have enough money to pay for public services," he said.
He highlighted language classes, housing and the turnover of pupils in schools as areas which can come under pressure.
He also said he wanted other sources, such as GP registrations and National Insurance numbers, to be used to get a clearer picture of migration movements.
Mick Gallagher, chief executive of Boston Council in Leicestershire, told the select committee: "We have experienced a significant growth that has been completely under-represented."
A low unemployment rate, lots of work on the land and reasonably priced housing have attracted a large number of workers to the area.
He cited Boston's estimated population as 79,000 - about a quarter higher than the official estimate of 58,000.
He said the council had looked at other sources including the number of children in schools with English as a second language which he estimates stands at 50%.
"It's very difficult to know who you have got living in a community at any one time and to try to determine the cost of that in financial terms is extremely difficult," he said.
Hidden population
Westminster, home to Victoria coach station, a gateway for eastern Europeans seeking employment in the UK, has long been campaigning for a change in the way London's population is calculated.
It says current methodology is flawed and in Westminster that at least 11,000 short-term migrants at any one time are missed out by official estimates.
It has also estimated a further 13,000 illegal immigrants are living there.
The council does not receive funding for the hidden population and says it loses up to £18m in government grants as well,
Tracy Turner, from the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives and Senior Managers (Solace), told BBC News ahead of the hearing that the greatest need was for clear, simple information, but she said there was no money in council budgets for this.
This meant eastern Europeans did not know to register with a GP and instead were going straight to hospital, she said.
Some also decided against sending their children to the local Catholic school thinking they were fee-paying as they often are in Eastern Europe, she said.
Of the recent influx of migrant workers particularly in rural areas, she said: "It's an issue for a lot of councils but it's not a problem.
"I think people are genuinely concerned to ensure that any new arrivals are able to integrate and get housing and employment, and become part of the local community.
"This applies to Eastern Europeans as much as people moving into new towns from other parts of the UK." (my view)-Fuck them off back to their own country, because when they get here they break the law and sponge off us and GIVEN jobs that are taken away from us(the English people) just so companies can save a few pounds-it may sound harsh but its the truth, since the first fucker came over crime HAS climed.......and this is a FACT that people are ignorant about........92% of all crime in england are coursed by Brown people ie:paki's,muslims, indians ect
'Bedroom snooper' row over census
(JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT THE GOVERNMENT CAN'T GET ANYMORE INTRUSIVE,THEY WANT US TO REVEAL OUR BEDROOM ACTIVITIES)
Ministers will invade peoples' privacy by asking "intrusive" questions in the census, the Conservatives are claiming.
When the 2011 survey is conducted everyone in the UK will have to answer the questions or face fines.
Details will be sought about the number of bedrooms in peoples' homes and information about "overnight visitors".
The Tories said this would amount to "bedroom snooping" but ministers said all questions would be justified in the public interest.
The census, which is conducted every 10 years, is designed to give an accurate snapshot of demographic and social changes in the UK.
The 2011 survey is set to be carried out on 27 March 2011.
Officials are planning to introduce new methodology and ask a wider range of questions after the 2001 survey was sharply criticised.
'Invading privacy'
For the first time, people will be asked to provide details of the number of bedrooms they have as well as the names, sex and birth dates of any overnight guests in their homes.
Other new questions include how well people can speak English, the date overseas nationals entered the UK, how people define their national identity and whether they are in civil partnerships.
Those who do not complete the census risk being prosecuted while those giving false answers face being fined.
The Conservatives said the nature of the some of the questions amounted to a breach of privacy.
"An increasingly invasive and intrusive census will erode public support, cost more and result in a less accurate survey," said shadow Cabinet Office minister Nick Hurd.
"These 'bedroom snoopers' are yet another sign of how the Labour government has no respect for the privacy of law-abiding citizens."
The details of the census must be approved by Parliament in advance.
The Office for National Statistics has published a list of specimen questions and said it does not expect any major changes to them.
Ministers have said the questions were decided following extensive consultation and take into account the importance of the information requested as well as whether it was acceptable to ask for it.

Government opens data to public
An ambitious new website that will open up government data to the public will launch in beta, or pilot, form in December.
Reams of anonymous data about schools, crime and health could all be included.
Data.gov.uk has been developed by Sir Tim Berners Lee, founder of the web, and Professor Nigel Shadbolt at the University of Southampton.
It is designed to be similar to the Obama administration's data.gov project, run by Vivek Kundra.
Mr Kundra is Chief Information Officer in the US. The American site, while not yet comprehensive, is already up and running, with improvements fuelled by user feedback.
US citizens can either view the data completely raw, or they can access widgets and other tools provided by the site to create their own charts, maps or snapshots of specific information.
The British cabinet was briefed in September about data.gov's ambition to be a one-stop-shop for data collected by the government. At the moment a very early beta version is accessible only by a select group.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown has voiced his support, and Professor Shadbolt told the BBC he was hopeful that it would "survive" a change of government.
Only anonymous data will be made available - there will be no personal information included.
Finding patterns
"An accountable government needs evidence-based policies," said Prof Shadbolt. "But traditionally only the people seen fit to understand data have been accountants and MPs."
Data.gov is built with semantic web technology, which will enable the data it offers to be drawn together into links and threads as the user searches.
"During a typhoid outbreak in the nineteenth century a doctor plotted where outbreaks occurred and traced the disease back to one well," explained Professor Shadbolt. "With data.gov we will also be able to look for patterns."
Prof Shadbolt also expects that visitors to data.gov will want to make their own mash-ups from the information available.
Data hugging
It may seem unusual for a new government website to receive such fanfare, but what's interesting about data.gov.uk is the culture change that it represents, say its creators.
Traditionally authorities foster a "data hugging mentality", which is wrong argues Prof Shadbolt.
"A public body has a duty to publish unless there is a significant reason not to," he said.
He cited the census, the land registry and Ordnance Survey data as among the publicly collected information that should be freely available.
"What you find if you deal with people in government departments is that they hug their database, hold it really close, so that they can build a beautiful website to present it," said Sir Tim Berners-Lee earlier this year.
"I would like to suggest: sure, make a beautiful website, but first, give us - all of us - the unadulterated data. We have to ask for raw data now." (my view)-LOL Do they really expect us to believe they will tell the truth, come on people its the government.....the site will be government run! NEARLY ALL THE DATA WILL BE FAKE TO COVER THEIR LIES,SCANDALS AND STEALING YOUR MONEY
Millions tricked by 'scareware'
Online criminals are making millions of pounds by convincing computer users to download fake anti-virus software, internet security experts claim.
Symantec says more than 40 million people have fallen victim to the "scareware" scam in the past 12 months.
The download is usually harmful and criminals can sometimes use it to get the victim's credit card details.
The firm has identified 250 versions of scareware, and criminals are thought to earn more than £750,000 each a year.
Franchised out
Scareware sellers use pop-up adverts deliberately designed to look legitimate, for example, using the same typefaces as Microsoft and other well-known software providers.
They appear, often when the user is switching between websites, and falsely warn that a computer's security has been compromised.
If the user then clicks on the message they are directed towards another site where they can download the fake anti-virus software they supposedly need to clean up their computer - for a fee of up to £60.
Con Mallon, from Symantec, told the BBC the apparent fix could have a double impact on victims.
"Obviously, you're losing your own hard-earned cash up front, but at the back end of that, if you're transacting with these guys online you're offering them credit card details, debit card details and other personal information," he said.
"That's obviously very valuable because these cyber criminals can try to raid those accounts themselves or they can then pass them on or sell them to others who ultimately will try to use that information to their benefit not yours."
The findings were revealed in a report written following Symantec analysis of data collected from July 2008 to June 2009. Symantec said 43 million people fell for such scams during that period.
It has become so popular that the rogue software has been franchised out.
Mr Mallon said some scareware took the scam a step further.
"[They] could hold your computer to ransom where they will stop your computer working or lock up some of your personal information, your photographs or some of your Word documents.
"They will extort money from you at that point. They will ask you to pay some additional money and they will then release your machine back to you."
The scam is hard for police or other agencies to investigate because the individual sums of money involved are very small.
Therefore, experts say users must protect themselves with common sense and legitimate security software.
'Steal your identity'
Tony Neate, from Get Safe Online, told the BBC the threats presented by the internet had changed in recent years.
"Where we used to say protect your PC... we've now got to look at ourselves, making sure we're protected against the con men who are out there," he said.
"They want you to help them infect your machine. When they've infected your machine it's possibly no longer your machine - you've got no control over it.
"Then what they're looking to do is take away your identity, steal bits of your identity, or even get some financial information from you."
He added: "They used to be 16-year-olds in their bedrooms causing damage with viruses. Now those 16-year-olds have grown up [and] they're looking for money, they're looking for information." (my view)-I use (avast)-its free, has 9 stars out of 10(4 stars being norton)-it updates its virus datebase daily, one year of use then all you do is re-register your code-free each year.....thats it:)then after you register-a few seconds later your virus datebase updates then you don't have to register for another year, its ALL FREE here is the link for avast http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
15 Year Old Disabled Student Beaten Up By Cop
A 15-year-old student at a special needs school got a lesson in police brutality.
Marshawn Pitts, who attends the Academy for Learning in the south suburb of Dolton, was slammed into a locker and thrown to the ground by an unidentified police officer as he was taking Pitts to the principals office for an untucked shirt.
A security camera installed in one of the schools halls caught the entire confrontation, which ended with a broken nose for Pitts, who lay motionless while the officer sat on him.
The fight allegedly broke out after the officer asked the student to tuck his shirt in, a policy enforced in the school.
The boys attorney, Ed Manzke, says the video will help Pitts cause.
Were fortunate that it [the beating] was caught on videotape, he told the Chicago Tribune. There is nothing [the officer] can say that could justify [the beating].
The video shows the police officer and the student walking down a hall. After saying something to a woman standing there, Pitts is violently pushed against the lockers by the officer, who then proceeds to pin the student to the floor.
As the fight starts, students in adjacent classrooms try to walk out of class, but are blocked by other teachers. Once the student is on the floor, two other men run up to the officer, but its unclear if they were trying to block or help him.
The Police Killed Him-FOR NO REASON-and lied about the medics and protesters getting in the way
I took a portion of news(link to this huge article is at the bottom,i know max would like to read)for you to read(read how the police have lied and the killer wore a balaclava and no number-----Initial eyewitness accounts
Memorial to Ian Tomlinson outside the Bank of England on 2 April 2009. At the time many believed he had been a protester According to eyewitnesses, reports of missiles raining down while police tried to assist are "completely false." Witnesses say it was protesters, not police, who provided the initial first aid, and who telephoned for medical help, as well as requesting it with a megaphone. "The only attitude of people in the crowd was to help this guy," one eyewitness said.
Fran Legg, a politics student at Queen Mary, University of London, told The Evening Standard that it was a friend of hers who put Tomlinson in the recovery position. She said that around eight riot police arrived on the scene with police medics, who stood around Tomlinson. The Standard reported that, "by the time police medics took over from her friend, the man had fallen unconscious."
Witnesses stated that one or two plastic bottles were thrown by people who were unaware of Tomlinson's situation, but other protesters told them to stop.[55] The Times wrote that an analysis of television footage and photographs showed just one bottle, that was probably plastic, being thrown in the area.Eyewitness Jasper Jackson, who photographed Tomlinson just before he collapsed, said, "There were a couple of people throwing bottles in the direction. A bottle smashed near a Starbucks. Protesters told them to stop it. In fact they were threatening to kill other protesters if they did anything to disrupt the treatment."-----LINK TO THE ARTICLE - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Ian_Tomlinson

Balloon boy:Father Is Gulity Of Hoax-but charges may not come until next week
FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Investigators pored over e-mails, phone records and financial documents from the home of Richard Heene on Monday as they weighed felony charges and sought to determine who else might have helped the alleged balloon-boy hoax get off the ground.
The sheriff's office said its findings will be forwarded to prosecutors next week to decide if Richard and Mayumi Heene should be charged with falsely reporting that their 6-year-old child had drifted away in a large home-built helium balloon to drum up publicity for a reality TV show.
But the investigation could reach beyond the Heenes, possibly into the world of reality-show promotions.
Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden said documents show that a media outlet had agreed to pay the Heenes. Alderden did not name the organization but said it was in an industry that blurs "the line between entertainment and news."
It was not clear whether the deal was signed before or after the alleged hoax, or whether the media outlet was a possible conspirator. If so, the organization could face charges as well.
The Heenes are amateur storm chasers who apparently wanted to star in a reality show that focused on a range of absurd experiments, such as attracting UFOs with a weather balloon, launching a model rocket into space and conducting an electromagnetic analysis of a terminally ill patient's spirit before death.
Robert Thomas, a collaborator who worked with Richard Heene on the idea, provided an e-mail to the Web site Gawker.com outlining his plan for the show. The sheriff's department questioned Thomas on Sunday night after he revealed that Heene was planning a media stunt to promote the show, according to the researcher's lawyer, Linda Lee.
Lee said investigators told her Thomas does not face charges and is not a person of interest in the case. Thomas has said he had no idea that a possible hoax would involve the Heene children.
With television cameras and reporters set up outside the Heene home, defense lawyer David Lane stressed that the Heenes are willing to turn themselves in to avoid the spectacle of a public arrest.
Lane declined to say directly whether he believes the incident was a hoax but said the Heenes are innocent unless convicted. The Heenes remained holed up in their home until midafternoon, when they left in a pickup truck without commenting.
If prosecutors "can prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt, that's one thing. If they can't prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt, that's another," Lane told The Associated Press.
Alderden said he is seeking charges against the Heenes that include conspiracy, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, making a false report to authorities and attempting to influence a public servant.
The most serious charges are felonies and carry a maximum sentence of six years in prison. Alderden said authorities would be seeking restitution for the costs, though he did not have an estimate. Alderden said the children were still with the parents and that child protective services had been contacted to investigate their well-being.
It's also possible that Heene could face federal charges because he called the Federal Aviation Administration to report his son missing in the balloon. Those charges could include lying to the federal government, a count similar to the one that sent Martha Stewart to prison in her stock-fraud case.
The balloon spectacle was not the first time Richard Heene has run afoul of the law.
He was arrested in April 1997 and charged with three misdemeanors - vandalism, vehicle tampering and disturbing the peace, according to court documents. He pleaded no contest to vandalism and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, two years probation and ordered to pay $100 restitution, according to Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney's office.
The other two charges were dropped. Mateljan said he did not know who the victim was, and no details on the case were available.
It's still not known who else was working with Heene to launch the reality show. The sheriff's department refused to answer questions Monday.
Heene has a profile listed on a Web site that helps people get cast in reality shows, and the site said he last logged on in late September - around the time investigators said the hoax was taking root.
The site lists his occupation as a research scientist and general contractor with a high school education.
The Heenes twice appeared on ABC's "Wife Swap," including an episode in March in which they talk about their belief that they are the descendants of aliens and discuss their approach to parenting. At one point, Richard Heene is seen screaming and throwing a drink in a participant's face.
The producer of "Wife Swap" had a show in development with the Heenes but said the deal is now off. The TLC cable network also said Heene had pitched a reality show months ago, but it passed on the offer.

Halloween dummy was real dead body
Residents in a block of flats left a dead body on a neighbour's patio for three days because they thought it was a Halloween display.
Mostafa Mahmoud Zayed had apparently been dead since Monday.
Cameraman Austin Raishbrook, owner of RMG News, told the Los Angeles Times he was at the scene in Marina del Rey, Southern California, on Thursday when the authorities arrived.
Abuse cases piling up after Baby P
More than 150 of the worst cases of child abuse have come to light since the Baby P tragedy, a survey has revealed.
In the past six months alone authorities launched nearly two investigations a week into the most worrying incidents, primarily those in which children died or were seriously injured as a result of abuse or neglect.
The national survey by the Press Association suggests there has been no fall in the number of children coming to harm since the death of Baby P - now named as Peter Connelly - in August 2007.
Responding to the research, a social workers' leader warned that there were "Baby Peters in every local authority" and said the failings in the case could be repeated in many other areas.
A total of 348 "serious case reviews" have been launched since April 2006, one month after Peter was born, results from 120 councils in England showed.
A serious case review must be carried out after a child dies where abuse or neglect is known or suspected in order to see whether lessons can be learned.
They can be also conducted in cases where children are killed by a parent with a mental illness, seriously sexually abused, or suffer a potentially life-threatening injury through abuse or neglect.
There were 95 serious case reviews launched in 2006-07, 98 in 2007-08, 106 in 2008-09, and 49 have been started since April this year, the survey found.
Some 23 local safeguarding children boards - made up of experts from councils, health trusts, the police and other agencies - have had to carry out five or more of the inquiries in the past three-and-a-half years.
They include Haringey in north London, which was severely criticised for failing to prevent the death of 17-month-old Peter at the hands of his mother, her lover and his brother.(my view)-Yet another reason WE DO NOT NEED A GOVERNMENT...they are stupid, greedy fuckers without a thought what so ever...un-educated shits that do NOT protect babies ect.......only themselves-WE NEED A PROFIT FREE GOVERNMENT AND WORLD LEADER/S TO BRING THIS WORLD BACK FROM THE BRINK OF DESTRUCTION THAT THEY ARE MAKING,WE NEED A FREE WORLD,WE NEED TO LIVE FREE AGAIN(LIKE NATURE INTENDED US TO BE),WE NEED SOMEONE WITH A GREED-FREE BRAIN,WE NEED ME....YOU ALL NEED ME AS PRESIDENT!

Father of boy in balloon saga meets with officers
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – A storm-chasing inventor met with sheriff's officials Saturday amid lingering questions about whether he perpetrated a big hoax when his 6-year-old son vanished into the rafters of his garage while the world thought he was zooming through the sky in a flying saucer-like helium balloon.
The saga grew stranger by the day. Richard Heene knocked on the windows of journalists camped outside his home early Saturday and promised a "big announcement" in a few hours, then did an about-face when he told reporters that they should leave questions in a cardboard box on the front doorstep.
"Absolutely no hoax. I want your questions in the box," Heene said, waving a cardboard container before going back into his home.
A circus-like atmosphere formed outside, including men holding signs and occasionally yelling "balloon boy." One sign read, "Put balloon boy on TV: America's Most Wanted."
Other gawkers carried aluminum-foil stovetop popcorn makers that resembled the silvery balloon launched from the family's backyard Thursday, with 6-year-old Falcon Heene believed to be onboard.
A man pulled a red wagon with coffee for sale. The sign had "$2" scratched out with a new price of $1. Some neighbors stopped by to drop questions of their own into the box.
Falcon's mother, Mayumi Heene, also went to the sheriff's office about two hours after husband did. The couple's three sons remained home, apparently being watched by sheriff's officials. Authorities wouldn't comment on what was happening.
"We're trying to figure things out. That's all I can say," sheriff's spokeswoman Eloise Campanella said.
Sheriff Jim Alderden has said that he wanted to re-interview the family after Falcon told CNN that "you said we did this for a show" when asked why he didn't come out of his hiding place. Then Falcon got sick during two separate TV interviews when asked why he hid.
The balloon was supposed to be tethered to the ground when it lifted off, and no one was supposed to be aboard. A video of the launch shows the family counting down in unison, "3, 2, 1," before Richard Heene pulls a cord, setting the balloon into the air.
"Whoa!" one of the boys exclaims. Then his father says in disbelief, "Oh, my God!" He then says to someone, "You didn't put the (expletive) tether down!" and he kicks the wood frame that had held the balloon.
Falcon's brother said he saw him inside the compartment before it took off and that's why they thought he was in there when it launched. Heene said he had yelled at Falcon before the launch for getting inside.
Alderden thinks it's likely that Falcon ran off because he was scared of getting in trouble, later falling asleep in his hiding spot. He said he doubted that such a hyperactive boy could be ordered to stay quiet for the five hours he was missing.
Over the years, Richard Heene has worked as a storm chaser, a handyman and contractor, and an aspiring reality-TV star.
He and his family appeared on the ABC reality show "Wife Swap," and the show's producer said it had a show in development with the Heenes but the deal is now off. TLC also said Heene had pitched a reality show to the network months ago, but it passed on the offer.
Despite his attempts to get on TV, Heene insisted Saturday that he didn't know what kinds of questions were being asked about him because he didn't have cable.
"I'm going to place the box out front. Please write your questions down, because friends are telling me they're saying this and that. I have no idea what the news is saying," Heene said.-----THANKYOU MAX FOR EMAILING ME THIS ARTICLE

Arctic to be 'ice-free in summer'
The Arctic Ocean could be largely ice-free and open to shipping during the summer in as little as ten years' time, a top polar specialist has said.
"It's like man is taking the lid off the northern part of the planet," said Professor Peter Wadhams, from the University of Cambridge.
Professor Wadhams has been studying the Arctic ice since the 1960s.
He was speaking in central London at the launch of the findings of the Catlin Arctic Survey.
The expedition trekked across 435km of ice earlier this year.
Led by explorer Pen Hadow, the team's measurements found that the ice-floes were on average 1.8m thick - typical of so-called "first year" ice formed during the past winter and most vulnerable to melting.
The survey route - to the north of Canada - had been expected to cross areas of older "multi-year" ice which is thicker and more resilient.
When the ridges of ice between floes are included, the expedition found an average thickness of 4.8m.
Professor Wadhams said: "The Catlin Arctic Survey data supports the new consensus view - based on seasonal variation of ice extent and thickness, changes in temperatures, winds and especially ice composition - that the Arctic will be ice-free in summer within about 20 years, and that much of the decrease will be happening within 10 years.
"That means you'll be able to treat the Arctic as if it were essentially an open sea in the summer and have transport across the Arctic Ocean."
According to Professor Wadhams, faster shipping and easier access to oil and gas reserves were among short-term benefits of the melting.
But in the longer-term, losing a permanent feature of the planet risked accelerated warming, changing patterns of circulation in the oceans and atmosphere, and having unknown effects on ecosystems through the acidification of waters.
Pen Hadow and his companions Ann Daniels and Martin Hartley endured ferocious weather - including a wind chill of minus 70 - delayed resupply flights and starvation rations during the expedition from 1 March to 7 May.
When I met them on the ice, as part of a BBC team that joined the pick-up flight, all three had lost weight and were evidently tired from the ordeal.
The expedition had been blighted by equipment failures. A pioneering radar system, designed to measure the ice while being dragged over the ice, broke down within days. Another device to measure the water beneath the ice never functioned at all.
A planet transformed
The technical breakdowns forced the team to rely on hand-drilling through the ice which slowed progress and meant the team's planned destination of the North Pole had to be abandoned.
Pen Hadow admitted that the expedition had not led to "a giant leap forward in understanding" but had been useful as an incremental step in the science of answering the key questions about the Arctic.
His view was backed by Professor Wadhams who said the expedition had provided information about the ice that was not available from satellites and that no submarines had been available to science at that time either.
Pen Hadow said he was shocked by the image of how "in my lifetime we're looking at changing how the planet looks from space."
He also described how polar explorers were having to change their methods from the days when sledges could be pulled by dogs over the ice.
"Dogs can swim but they can't tow a sledge through water which is what's needed now."
"Now we have to wear immersion suits and swim and we need sledges that can float. I can foresee needing sledges that are more like canoes that you also pull over the ice." (my view)-OMG.....countries are going to be almost half under water(ie: half of the countries are going to disappear under water) and millions if not billions are going to die........and all they care about is more money and trading! WTF......they don't care about fixing mother but destroying her and us all! DEATH TO THE GOVERNMENTS!ACT NOW AND STAND UP AGAINST THEM AND SAY NO MORE!
