Gately 'scaled wall for Jacko'

Speaking at the London premiere of Jackson movie This Is It, Nicky said the late Boyzone singer was a huge Jackson fan and said he would have loved to attend the event. Nicky said: "Stephen I do know, through Louis (Walsh) and through Ronan (Keating), was a massive Michael Jackson fan - massive." He added: "I remember a story that when Jackson played the RDS in Dublin 10, maybe 15 years ago, Louis jumped over a wall with Stephen and bribed security and actually got up to meet Michael Jackson and got a photograph with him. "And there is a photograph somewhere, I've seen it, with Stephen and Michael together, and that was Louis' kinda little concoction to get Stephen to meet him, because Stephen had been begging to meet him for years. "So yeah, I think he would have been here tonight. He would have been first in the queue." Nicky revealed: "The reason we're here tonight is we were all supposed to go to the show when he was going to perform in London. It's amazing the after-footage. We're looking forward to seeing it tonight. "But Jackson was an inspiration to everybody, anybody who can appreciate music."
