Woman bailed as car hits children

A 40-year-old woman arrested after a car ploughed into a group of schoolchildren has been released on bail, police said. Nine youngsters were taken to hospital following the incident near a church in Worlingham, Suffolk, at about 2pm on Friday. Four of the children have since been discharged - but emergency services said one was thought to have suffered broken legs and another a broken pelvis. The children were all aged nine and pupils at Worlingham Middle School - about half a mile from the scene of the accident. They were on a supervised walk around the village when the incident happened. The funeral service of a 21-year-old man killed in a road accident was temporarily halted as mourners went to help. Police said the car involved was a blue Nissan. A 40-year-old woman from Lowestoft, Suffolk, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. She was later released on bail. Headteacher Mike Croft said the youngsters were Year 5 pupils on a supervised walk aimed at introducing them to the local area. He said about 20 pupils, accompanied by a woman teacher and female teaching assistant, were walking past the village's All Saints Church on a pavement when the accident happened. Mr Croft said both members of staff were "badly shocked". (my view) WHY!..o'why do assholes employ stupidity?

I don't understand why that woman was let off! She obviously isnt safe on the road and should lose her license to drive! As far as the authorities......they seem as brain dead as the american authorities! Whatever happened to protecting the innocent! Anyway....pisses me off! xxx
